ZiForKrim is an open and collaborative hub. We actively seek opportunities to connect researchers, students, practitioners and institutions interested in advancing Forensic Sciences and Criminalistics.

The training programme is structures into three phases:

1. ZiForKrim International Conference

ZiForKrim organises seminars and invited lectures on an annual basis, as well as international conferences every two years.

2. Research Positions Offered

ZiForKrim occasionally offers short-term research positions linked to ongoing projects and collaborative initiatives in Forensic Sciences and Criminalistics.

As ZiForKrim is a research hub hosted by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), all research contracts are offered through public and competitive recruitment procedures in accordance with university regulations.

3. Internal Funding Opportunities

Each year, ZiForKrim allocates modest funding to support innovative activities within the University of the Basque Country (EHU).

Funding may be requested for:

  • Collaborative research projects related to Forensic Sciences and Criminalistics.
  • Workshops, seminars and scientific events.
  • Small-scale initiatives promoting interdisciplinary cooperation.
  • Support for Bachelor’s Theses (TFG) and Master’s Theses (TFM) in the fields of Forensic Sciences and Criminalistics.

EHU researchers interested in developing new initiatives are encouraged to contact us to discuss potential proposals.
